who am I?
Born in Crete, May 1966, I live in Stockholm, Sweden, and work as freelancing Geoinformatics & Software Engineer. Originally I studied as a Surveying Engineer and got me an MSc in GIS but my interest in and involvement with computers rather turned me into a software engineer than a surveyor. I have two daughters; Phoebe, born June 1999 and Athena born March 2007. My name is Yannis Roussochatzakis and you can see my complete CV here.
what do I do?
I currently work as a contracted consultant and senior software engineer at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Stockholm Sweden. I am involved in various projects including:
- Citizen Service Centers & Case Management
- Call Center & CRM
- Market Research
- Intranet/Extranet Applications & Knowledge Management
- Social Networking & Community Projects
- Geoinformatics
- Health Informatics
Technologies I use in these projects include:
- All Microsoft Platforms, Servers and SDKs
- Oracle Database & Application Servers
- Various GIS Platforms including Intergraph and ESRI products.
where am I?
I currently live and work in Stockholm, Sweden. My base though is still in Athens Greece and I will most likely return there in early 2010.
